Biobank

Central to CardioRegen is the Melbourne Children's Heart Tissue Bank (MCHTB), which is a biobank of patient samples that drive several key projects across the centre. The MCHTB provides enabling infrastructure to understand CHD pathogenesis at the whole organ, cellular and DNA level with direct links to high quality patient data available through existing registries, databases and standard care. To date, the MCHTB has banked over 1800 patient blood and tissue samples from RCH patients.

Applications to access samples from the MCHTB will be assessed by the MCHTB Access and Oversight Committee. The process for accessing samples is outlined below:
